Welcome from the Principal
We are extremely proud to share that, within the last three academic years, Quay Academy have won six awards through the DRET Inspiration Awards for Teaching Excellence. Three of those awards were "Primary Academy of the Year", "Music Academy of the Year" and "Inspirational Leader of the Year".
We are so happy that all the hard work of our staff and the pupils continues to been recognised and rewarded by the Trust.
As the principal of this incredible school, I am honoured to welcome you to our setting. At Quay Academy communication with parents, carers and the community is extremely important to us. We aim to give children a well-rounded educational experience. As well as a broad and diverse curriculum, we also have a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and a residential trips for pupils in Year 6. Enrichment is such an important part of our curriculum, we want all children to be provided with real, relevant and exciting learning experiences.
Our commitment to academic excellence and the well-being of our pupils is at the very heart of everything we do. We encourage parents to be active participants in their child's educational journey and believe in the power of collaboration.
We work tirelessly to develop the academic aspects of education, but also on the spiritual, moral and emotional development of all the children in our care. That is why we are so proud that we are a Values School. This is where a school deliberately and systematically supports its curriculum with a set of universal positive values. These are woven into the curriculum in order to give a variety of opportunities for these values to be thought about and used in the life of the school, community and wider community. Our aim is to help children become good citizens who have achieved their very best during their time here with us.
At Quay Academy, we are dedicated to fostering a safe, nurturing environment, where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our ultimate aim is for all children to leave our school with a confidence and self-belief that will prepare them for all of life's challenges.
If you have never been to our school before why not get in touch with us and arrange a visit. Meanwhile have a look around our website for news, events and lots more!
Warm regards,
Mrs Caroline Broadhead
Principal
