Quay Academy pupils highlight road safety issues with letters campaign
Pupils at Quay Academy have been highlighting road safety issues with a new campaign.
The school’s Mini Police force have been busy delivering leaflets to motorists around the area, and to houses, in an attempt to raise awareness of potential dangers to pupils through inconsiderate and dangerous driving.
The letters campaign is aimed at keeping people safe around the school.
A spokesman said: “The School’s Mini Police handed out letters to motorists and posted them through letter boxes because it as been noticed that some people are driving in an erratic manner.
“The children felt there is a potential risk of an accident taking place.
“Their message is speeding and erratic driving endangers everyone that attends the school – including your children.”
