Activities
We offer our pupils a wide range of activities to support and extend the learning that takes place in the classrooms.
We currently offer or recently have offered the following:
- Gymnastics
- Football
- Athletics
- Netball
- Hockey
- Badminton
- Gardening
- Computing
- Choir
- African Drumming
- Orchestra
- Art
- Shakespeare
We plan to offer additional activities in the future.
We also try to provide events throughout the school year to enrich our pupils' learning experiences. This has included events such as celebrating World Book Day by getting the children to dress as their favourite storybook character and to bring in their favourite book!
Off site visits are also essential in bringing the curriculum to life. For this reason regular educational visits are arranged for all children as part of their work. In Years 4 and 6 pupils are able to participate in residential visits. The children are able to enjoy the experiences of the wider world whilst learning about how to organise themselves away from home.
Clubs
We offer a free After School Club that runs every day Monday to Friday, 3.30pm - 4.30 p.m.
We also offer a breakfast club for all children. This runs from 8.00am – 8.50am daily and offers a meal of toast, cereal, juice or milkshake at 50p per day. This is to be paid in advance via ParentPay and children should enter school via the main school entrance.
This club offers great opportunities for children to socialise, enjoy a range of activities (art, craft, board games, modelling kits) and have a good meal to start the day.
Children who show the necessary aptitude may also be invited to participate in additional lessons to include, Violin, Clarinet, Recorder, Cello, Trumpet, Flute, Trombone and Steel Pans.
