Quay Academy

Our school's friendly, communal atmosphere was noted by Ofsted with them describing us as, 'a happy and inclusive school where pupils behave well and develop strong relationships'.

Principal's Welcome

Mrs C Broadhead

At Quay Academy communication with parents, carers and the community is very important to us. We aim to give  children a well-rounded educational experience. As well as a broad and diverse curriculum we also have a range of extra-curricular clubs and a residential trips for pupils in Year 6.

We work tirelessly to develop the academic aspects of education, but also on the spiritual, moral and emotional development of all the children in our care. That is why we are so proud that we are a Values School.

Coronavirus Update

Our academy remains closed to most pupils. Government guidance does not allow us to re-open to all pupils yet. Children with an EHCP or other vulnerabilities are encouraged to attend where it is safe for them to do so, as well as the children of parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response; the list of these critical roles has not changed. School leaders are planning for other groups of pupils to return to school safely in the future. More information will be available soon.

If you have a child who is eligible for Free School Meals due to certain benefits that you are in receipt of, you will shortly receive communication from Wonde with details of how the process will work. If you have any other FSM-related queries, please email fsmenquiries@dret.co.uk
